What Happened at Edmarc in October

Debbie Stitzer-Brame and Mary Helen Hilton helped the Kiwanis Club of Norfolk with the silent auction at the 25th Annual Harbor Party. The Kiwanis Club has been so supportive of Edmarc, recently helping fund a new needed vehicle. The silent auction was a big hit, and the bidding was competitive up until the moment it closed. They had a little fun with the Halloween décor for raffle!

October 20th was a gorgeous day for the 12th annual Jenna Noha Memorial Golf Tournament that the Deep Creek Ruritan Club organizes to help Edmarc every year. This year 31 teams gathered at Bide-A-Wee Golf Course in Portsmouth and helped raise $6,300. What a wonderful tribute to keeping the memory alive of Joe Noha’s granddaughter, Jenna. We are so grateful to the Noha family, all of the Ruritan club members and the 52 sponsors who made this event possible.

The Edmarc Fall Festival was a wonderful time for families to gather and celebrate. We bring everyone together and shower them with love, fun, food, and PRIZES! Some of our families have such creative costumes, and the kids really enjoyed the games. This year, we are so grateful to our friends at Northwestern Mutual for sponsoring this fun event! We always appreciate using the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth, and Stellar Exposures did a fantastic job capturing memories for our families.

For the past four years, locally owned A. Dodson’s supports a charity every month chosen by their customers. They match each donation when their customers chose to round up when completing their purchases. During the month of July, Edmarc was voted as the charity of choice, and we went to the Suffolk store in October and received a check for $2,010.60. Heartfelt thanks to the team at A Dodson’s.
