What a month June has been! The month has been jammed packed with golf tournaments, United Way Campaign Kick-Offs, and Edmarc family fun-filled events.
On June 2nd The Miller Oil Foundation had their Annual Golf Tournament and we were honored to be a part of it! Over the past couple of years, the Miller Oil Foundation had underwritten our bereavement camp, Camp M.A.G.I.C. (My Active Grief Instills Courage). The popularity of camp continues to grow to meet the ongoing needs of our bereaved families. We are eternally grateful and blessed to have The Miller Oil Foundation support this important program!
On June 3rd staff headed out to Bide-A-Wee Golf Course in Portsmouth for the Naval Civilians Manager’s Association Annual Brass and Wheel Tournament! Despite the rain, the tournament was a huge success, raising $500 for Edmarc! The Brass didn’t have a chance as the Wheels pulled off another amazing victory! Special thanks to Larry Reese, and the entire Golf Committee for putting together such a great event!
Debbie spent the evening of June 9th on the American Rover with our dear friends from the Honorable Order of the Blue Goose International this month. Not only did they present a generous donation of $2,500 to support the Pediatric Palliative Care Program they also will be sponsor of our 3rd Annual Hope Gala! We love our Blue Goose buddies…you all are AMAZING! Thank you for your continued love and support!
It is hard to believe that companies are already kicking off their United Way Campaigns! Special thanks to The City of Virginia Beach and the Target Warehouse in Suffolk for giving Edmarc the opportunity to present during your kick offs! *****Remember you can designate Edmarc during the campaign season and your money will be used to support current programs.
The Oyster Point Rotary sponsored Edmarc’s Annual Picnic held at The Virginia Living Museum. Despite the heat, it was a beautiful afternoon filled with barbeque, a clown, Summer Santa, and great music from Amy Kaus! The best part of the day was after lunch; our families were able to cool off while walking through the Living Museum! Special thanks to our friends of the Oyster Point Rotary for putting on such an important fun-filled event for our families!
The golf tournaments continued on June 15th with LPI Technical Services Annual Golf Tournament at the Greenbrier Country Club! The heat didn’t keep anyone away as we had a full course. Special thanks to Lisa Rowe and her team and all our friends at LPI for putting on yet another successful event for Edmarc!
Two Edmarc families spent the weekend fishing, boating, and fellowship during the Yorktown Rotary weekend! We are honored this amazing group of individuals continue to provide this one of kind opportunity for a few of our families every year! The weather was picture perfect; and the families created happy memories that will last a life-time! We are forever grateful to our Yorktown Rotary friends for once again sharing your kindness with kids and families who need a little TLC.
