  • Card Maker: Make cards for birthdays and bereaved families.
  • Camp Magic: Assist with a summer weekend camp for bereaved families.
  • Carpentry: Help families by building ramps, beds, and rails (licensed contractors only).
  • Child Care: Care for young children of our families while they attend support group meetings (siblings only).
  • Handy Persons: Assist families with household repairs and upkeep.
  • Homemaking Tasks: Light housekeeping, dishes, and laundry.
  • Kids Can Cope: Provide breakfast, lunch or dessert for the monthly support group, Kids Can Cope. Held one Saturday each month.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and freeze meals for Edmarc families.
  • Office Assistant: Perform office duties, such as making copies, answering phones, and compiling reports.
  • Peace Pal: Help out at support group meetings by organizing rooms, greeting families, setting up for dinner, and helping clean up.
  • Peace by Piece Support Group Facilitator: Make a difference in the life of a child who’s lost a loved one by giving a few hours each month.
  • Photographer/Videographer: Document Edmarc events and activities .
  • Public Relations Assistant: Help with PR duties, including writing news releases, staffing information booths, and serving as a back-up for speaking engagements.
  • Sharing Hobbies and Special Interests: Reading, gardening, music, sports, travel, crafts, etc.
  • Special Events Assistant: Help coordinate our family events, provide clerical support, solicit sponsors, or pick up donations.
  • Support Group Facilitator: Serve as a facilitator or as a co-facilitator for children’s or parents’ support groups.
  • Translator: Bridge language barriers between staff and families.
  • Transportation: Drive our families to special events, support group meetings, and other activities. Assist with package pick-up/delivery during the holidays and for special events.
  • Yard Work: Help families clean up and maintain their yards. Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of Edmarc’s gardens.
