What Happened at Edmarc in October

United Way campaigns are in full swing! Organizations all over Hampton Roads are working with their local United Way to help raise money to support the good work of the partnering agencies. If your organization would like to have a speaker from Edmarc come and share our story please contact the office at 757-967-9251. And please remember to designate Edmarc during your United Way Campaign this year!!!

Special thanks to WM Jordan, HRSD, City of Newport News, Chesapeake Public Schools, Norfolk Southern, Langley Federal Credit Union, and Hampton Motor Corporation for giving Edmarc an opportunity to share during your campaign kickoffs! We truly appreciate your support!

View More: http://stellarexposures.pass.us/fallfest16Last year, with the help from community members in Hampton Roads, 380 people (81 Edmarc families) enjoyed much brighter holidays than they would have had otherwise. Edmarc knows that when a family has a sick child, every day is special, but they look forward to making the holidays just a little extra special. This year we need your help more than ever before. The number of children and families we care for is on the rise. So get involved today, become a sponsor or volunteer! To sign up to volunteer or sponsor a family, please email Kristen at jonesk@edmarc.org.

The Junior Women’s Club of Williamsburg, the Deep Creek Ruritan’s and the Middle Peninsula Jeep Club all held fundraisers for Edmarc this month! We continue to be amazed at the support we receive from our community! Thanks to each and every one of you who helped make these three important events successful!

Our very own Dorothy Jenson retired as Edmarc’s Assistant Director after 16 glorious years! She will truly be missed. But, we know she is enjoying her much deserved retirement with her husband, sailing the seas.

We want to also take this time to welcome Katherine “Rosie” Brooks to Edmarc. She is our new Assistant Director.

Edmarc families gathered at the Women’s Club of Portsmouth for an evening filled with food, games, face painting, and fun. It was a spectacular event!!! Special thanks to the Norfolk Jaycees, Buttar Cups Fact Face Painting, Stellar Exposures, the Portsmouth Women’s Club and Portsmouth Service League for donating your time and services to help make this event so special. It truly was a night to remember.
