Edmarc Hospice for Children Peninsula Friendraising Breakfast, “The Many Faces of Edmarc”
This morning we viewed the sunrise over the Chesapeake Bay from the Ballroom of the Paradise Ocean Club on Fort Monroe with many friends showing their support for the Edmarc children and their families. The clouds and a little rain didn’t keep anyone from attending the 6th Annual Peninsula Edmarc Friendraising Breakfast. The theme was “The Many Faces of Edmarc”. There were nearly 150 guests in attendance from our families, current and past families, distinguished city officials, elected city officials, board members, supporters, volunteers and staff. Enthusiasm filled the room as guests engaged in conversation. Velma Scaife was the host of the event and Glenn Oder, Executive Director of the Fort Monroe Foundation did the official welcome. The highlight of the event was a presentation from Reyna Hoell, Gaby’s Mom. Who shared Gaby’s powerful story – one of strength, courage and inspiration for all.
Our deepest appreciation to everyone who attended the event with a special thank you to The Red Knights and Baxter’s Sports Lounge for underwriting the breakfast. Thanks to all of you for your time, interest and gifts. And when all was said and done, the event raised nearly $10,000 to support the mission of Edmarc. But more importantly, the event created new friends for the future. It was truly a time to remember. Thank you!
